Apple iPod Accessories

The Apple iPod has an extremely facinating history.  The concept was to developa small hard drive-based player, which was meant to differ from the bulkier flash based digital media players of the era.

The original iPod was based on using 5 GB hard drives. The drives were approximately the size of a quarter. The operating system it used was known as Pixo.  The unit also included a high-resolution display and a lithium polymer power unit.

The most recognizable feature of the first iPod was the scroll wheel on the front of the device replacing skip buttons. The wheel was used to scroll through the list of songs and to control the menus. This innovation made it easier to navigate through the songs and menus.
